My belly

Eric took this picture of me December 22. I'm finally beginning to "show". Even though I've grown out of my pants back in October, I didn't really feel I looked pregnant. With 11 weeks to go, observant people can tell. I must admit it's hard for me to forget when the baby moves, I have to bend down or run to the washroom. :-)

Baby News

Hi Everyone. The baby seems to be very active this past week. Christmas day is always very hectic. This year I toned it down a little but thought that a nap was in order before I went to my mother-in-law's for the festivities. I was planning on 1 hour of sleep. Well... After about 30 minutes the baby had hiccups and I wasn't able to sleep anymore. It's ok. 30 minutes did the trick.
Yesterday Eric and I went to the Circus at the Bell Center. I think the baby had the most fun. The loud music and sounds cause a lot of movement. I could see my belly move in my peripheral vision. I had a small portion of Eric's Coke and the baby started jabbing my bladder. I had to pee in a hurry. The Circus was fun but less for anyone older than 6. Dora the Explorer did not impress the 10 year olds with us.

Busy week.

Last Monday, I had a doctor's appointment. Everything went well. The doctor was happy to see I had gained a healthy amount of weight. On Tuesday, Eric and I went to our first pre-natal class. It was relaxed and informative. The class was on breast feeding. Much less scary than the delivery class. :-) It's at the CLSC two blocks away. Can't get any better than that! There are 14 couples in the class. I think we're going to enjoy this. On Friday, I took the glucose test where they make you drink gross Orange Crush like drink and then test your blood. It went pretty well except they forgot to call me back to take the blood test. I went up to them and asked them since it's all timed and they took me right away and off I went.

All this to say. Baby and I are healthy.

Downtown Toronto

I took this picture on our trip to Toronto. It's the only picture I took. I like the sun on the building. Could use some touching up but that will be for another day...
